Anna's Write

Anna interviews celebrities!

The last two weeks have been kind-of exciting for me since I got to do my first and second celebrity interviews. They were on the phone, of course, because Portland is a long way from Los Angeles and TV Squad doesn't cover airfare.

On Monday, I interviewed John C. McGinley, who plays Dr. Cox on Scrubs (and also is one of the 'Bobs' in Office Space). He struck me as a very smart fellow who is still excited about the work he does and the work others in his field do. I also learned that he calls John Cusack by girls' names. The interview is here.

Last week, I interviewed Ethan Suplee, who plays Randy Hickey on My Name is Earl. He was also a very cool and very gracious guy who was easy to chat with about how he came to be on the show and some of the guest stars they've had on. That interview is here.

Sadly, television is on summer break and so I don't have any more interviews lined up for the near future. Now my focus is to get screener DVDs from the networks before they launch their fall programming.

Me, as a South Park character

I know I haven't blogged in a really long time and that's because I do so much blogging for TV Squad and talking about our exploits on our podcast that I'm all blogged out.

But, in case anyone is still checking this website, I thought I'd post a picture I made on this website. It allows you to make yourself into a character from South Park. I actually look kind-of friendly, don't I? I also made one of Jason.

Just Stuff...

We had a great Thanksgiving, but we forgot to take photos! Sorry! Let's just say there was television, wine, turkey, lots of other food, Nintendo, Cranium, and good friends. Just how we like it!

Also, I found these photos in iPhoto and realized I had forgotten to post them. They were actually taken this summer when I parked next to a truck with Pez and other strange toys attached to the hood of a truck. I kinda think that Sid from Toy Story got his drivers license.

Finally, I've been writing for a website called TVSquad lately. I post 4-5 stories each day--just summing up other television-related news and posting my own opinions on various television-related topics. This weekend, I posted a list of The Five: Least Watchable News Personalities and it got a lot of links on television news sites that I read (and so do other professionals). Hopefully I didn't cause any serious harm to myself by lashing out at Ann Curry, Geraldo, Anderson Cooper, Nancy Grace, and Rita Cosby. I did mention how much I adore Keith Olbermann...maybe it'll tickle his ego and he'll offer me a job. Heh, heh. Right.
