National Day of Puppetry, 2007
It's all happening on APRIL 14, 2007, at the Center Mall in Kalispell! It's a DAY OF PUPPETRY.
Last year, Montana Puppet Guild offered a very successful day of puppet-making workshops for the public. THIS YEAR, to celebrate puppetry, MPG is showing off two full hours of FREE puppet performances. All puppet shows will be in an enclosed, empty store space across from the Dairy Queen at the Center Mall. Below is the performance schedule:
1:00-1:30 P.M. - "A Variety Show" with puppets singing and telling stories performed by Mary Wachtel of the Dragon's Tales Puppet Theatre of Missoula
1:45-2:15 - "Participatory Puppets for the Very Young"; tales and "finger tales" with Gerri Rose, an experienced and enthusiastic preschool teacher
2:30-3:00 - "Surfin' the Gospel" with Lift 'm' High Puppet and Drama Ministry Team
3:15-3:45 - "Puppet Magic" with Sylvie Wood
Not only will there be puppet performances, but puppets and puppet books will be on sale as well.
Get there early and enjoy a DAY OF PUPPETRY!
